Okay... I guess I can reveal that the answer was the San Clemente Pier. The clue is that this was taken from the Amtrak train, the Surfliner.
ReplyDeleteHow would one know that? Look at the odd angle of the things in the foreground. That's what happens when you use an iPhone-type device to take a picture of something while moving at a fast speed.
The rail line hugs the coast from San Diego to just north of San Clemente, when it turns inland toward San Juan Capistrano and heads for the Orange County communities of Santa Ana, Irvine, Fullerton, and eventually Los Angeles. Thus the only pier in Orange County it passes would be the San Clemente Pier.
I do go to Seal Beach a lot, though, since I have relatives in that part of Orange County and in Long Beach. We enjoy riding our bikes out to the pier and eating breakfast at Ruby's.
