Busted in Ansan?

Courtesy of BJiT, here is the latest issue of "Busted in Austin," a rag designed to titillate as well as to deter others from a life of crime.

I have just two questions: Would this business model work in Korea, and where are all the Korean prostitutes the K-blog commentariat keeps saying have invaded America?

  1. I really don't like the concept of this "Busted" newsletter they have in Austin. I mean, they are putting mugshots of people who are not really "criminals" in my mind. I went to that site and looked close-up at the pics and there were some on there with minor infractions..."harrassment of a public official"??! Come on..who cares?! If I know public officials, some of them deserve some harrassing. Although, some were amusing (and sad)...look at the prostitutes picture at the bottom left...she is really messed with what looks to be a black eye.

  2. I agree with you, actually. And BJiT sent it to me with a message of something like "WTF? or some such.

    I can understand a deterrence for, say, getting johns out of a residential neighborhood, but not for little stuff.

    This is just looky-loo stuff and some of it is cruel.
