Can you identify the location in the following picture?
I don't know if I'll make this a regular feature (my last attempt was a failure), but I thought a Korea Finder, inspired by ROK Drop's, would be fun to try this a few times. My only rule is that Mark is not allowed to win because, well, it simply reminds me of the following "Far Side" cartoon:

I remember this tune well, but not this video--thank god. It's part Austin Powers, part Clockwork Orange. And what the fuck is a metamoPHORsees?

The Hyundai-Kia Motors California Proving Ground located in the Mojave Desert. It's off CA State Highway 58 just outside Mojave, CA.
ReplyDeleteNice job. Yes, I got the idea to do that while watching this Motor Trend Car of the Year video, which was done at the proving ground.
ReplyDeleteHave you been there? Can people drive onto the road themselves?
It would seem that by building the track used by Motor Trend, Hyundai-Kia may have given themselves a leg up for future contenders.
Thanks for playing!
I have an aging uncle (just turned 95) that lives in Bakersfield (used to live in Tehachapi) and I drive by the place on my way to visit him. It's gated, but a while back I was curious what was out there that belonged to Hyundai and looked it up. A lot of the land around the site is for sale and the name of the RE agency is "Daum".
ReplyDeleteany Korea Finder where Mark is not allowed to win or better yet play, ought to give many a disgruntled ROK Drop participant or observer over the last couple of years an all day smiley. me? it feels like even the round worms in my belly are rejoicing: "Yes we can!"

I do, in fact. Or, at least, I did. I may get a portfolio together and try to replace this guy.
